Privacy

Your thread is yours. We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and you can delete everything at any time by texting delete me or disconnecting a service from your Connections page.

What we collect

Your phone number or email, your name, and the messages you send Nimo. If you connect a service like Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Drive, Notion, Todoist, Apple Calendar, Apple Mail, or Spotify, we also access the data needed to do what you asked of that service.

Google user data specifically

When you connect a Google account, Nimo requests only the scopes each feature needs, each as its own separate connection:

• Calendar (calendar.events) — read your events and add new ones you've confirmed. Nimo never edits or deletes an existing event.
• Gmail (gmail.modify) — search and read your mail, and send a message once you've confirmed it. Nimo never permanently deletes mail.
• Drive (drive) — search and read files you ask about. Nimo never deletes anything in Drive.

We use this data solely to carry out the request you made in that conversation — checking your availability before suggesting a time, finding an email you asked about, reading a file you referenced — and, where you've enabled memory, to recall a relevant detail (like an appointment) in a later conversation so Nimo stays useful. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Nimo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. We do send it to a small number of services strictly to run Nimo:

• The AI model provider (currently Anthropic or OpenAI, depending on the request) that generates Nimo's replies — it sees what's needed to answer you, including relevant Google account data pulled into that reply.
• Our hosting and database providers, who store your account and connection data on our behalf and never use it for their own purposes.
• Sendblue, our SMS delivery provider, if you talk to Nimo by text.

Every one of these is bound to use your data only to provide the service to us, not for their own purposes. We disclose data beyond this list only if the law requires it.

How we protect it

Connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between your device, Nimo, and Google. Access tokens are stored in an access-controlled database that only Nimo's own servers can read, never exposed to the client or to unrelated third parties.

Retention and deletion

Calendar events, emails, and files are fetched live when you ask and are not stored beyond what's needed to answer you, aside from anything you've asked Nimo to remember. Your Google access and refresh tokens are kept only until you disconnect that service, which you can do anytime from your Connections page — disconnecting deletes the stored tokens immediately. Texting delete me erases your account and everything Nimo has stored about you.

Your controls

Connecting one service never connects another — Calendar, Gmail, and Drive are separate grants you can revoke independently, anytime, with no effect on the others. You can also ask Nimo directly to forget a specific detail rather than deleting everything.
